Intermediate Portrait Painting in Charcoals, Pastels, and Oils

 

12 Weeks; May 15th - July 31st, 2024

11 am - 2:30 pm

 

Cost: $340 per semester (plus $10 model fee when applicable)

Focus on the fundamental principles and elements of drawing and painting the effect of light on form. Learning to create value and color shapes that best achieve that effect.

Beginning with the self-portrait, artists will work from life to capture the vitality of the reflection. The following instruction will focus on each artist’s independent paintings to build portfolios of work. Demonstrations and discussions will be provided throughout the course.

Our class focus is to grow as observers and creators of the moments that catch our breaths and touch our souls.
