THE COPPINI ACADEMY OF ART was established in 1945. Since 1945, it has been a San Antonio icon for the pursuit of representational art. Pompeo Coppini built his studio in 1936 at 115 Melrose Place when he received the commission for the Alamo Cenotaph "Spirit of Sacrifice".

Coppini offers 15 hours a week of open studio and life drawing sessions open to the public. Join these to practice your skills. Members pay a reduced rate.

 

 
 

 

WORKSHOPS

We all need a little jump start once in a while to keep our artistic juices flowing and joining in on a workshop is the perfect place to learn from artists that you normally would not have the chance to study with to improve your art. Coppini offers a wide variety of workshops from visiting nationally recognized artists at minimum cost to our students. Members pay discounted rates.
